Collaborate on Sende's projects

Sende is looking for project writers, coordinators, and report writers. Please read more about our organization and your future role and your benefits within this colloboration.

Work with us

Your role

Currently we are looking for professionals to write and execute project (grant) applications on a behalf of Sende. We are also in the look for report writers, and project coordinators (end of 2022).

Your role would be to write project application with yours or ours project idea, and to fully complete the project application. This means that we are looking for a person(s) who can work on the application on their own during the whole process (after receiving the brief from Sende).

Projects

And Sende works as organization for (international) projects too. Mostly Erasmus+. This is where we would like to collaborate with you.

Sende is experienced organization mostly focused on topics of rural development, social entrepreuship, mix of innovation and rural (arcades, chips, sensors, lights and wood), conflict transformation and peace-building.

We were coordinating, hosting and working on projects with more than 40 international organisations and programs such as: Youth Peace Ambassadors Network, Council of Europe, Impact Hubs from Yerevan, Odessa, Athens, Vigo, Erasmus + (KA1, KA2, KA3) where our team co-organised more than 60 projects in Sende Spain and Portugal and all over the world.

How we work

When we start working together, you will receive the access to our database where we have basic information about our organization, written paragraphs on how we we organise logistics, venue, and project dissemination (so you don't need to write it again, rather to adapt it).

We are big fans of working smart and not hard. That's why we are making this process as easier as possible for our collaborators, so you can sit in a café, open your lap-top and just focus on writing.

Why to join

If you join Sende as a project writer, you will join one of the most innovative rural and community projects in the world.

We were working hard to build a reputation of Sende out there in the world. We were also building reputation among institutions in order to raise our project capacity score.

Approval rate of Sende's projects is from 65% to 81% (which is huge). It means that if we apply for 10 projects, we get from 6.5 to 8 approved projects. And why?

Because the idea of Sende is (sounds) cool (keyboards, hipster offices and cow's poop in a 20 inhabitants village). It's social, it has impact, and because we develop our projects in a highly professional way (we designed our systems to help us work like colourful robots).

And this kind of organizations and original project ideas get approved because everyone is sick of dry, mediocre, and boring stories with zero action.

Sende is action. You will see.

And nowadays, grant directors are inviting our organization to apply for their grants.

This means that if you start working with Sende, you will write for experienced organization which was "preparing the field" for almost 10 years so there is a high probability that your projects will get approved.

(If you write the same application form for one young or new organisation, and the same one for Sende, probably Sende will get approval and another organisation not). This institution system works like this unfortunately.

Benefits

We usually work on project approval fees and we tend to pay high European fees for your work as a writer or collaborator or a facilitator or a trainer (more than any other youth organization or institution we collaborated with).

For Youth Exchanges, it is form 1800€ to 2500€ (up to 5000€ per team for projects with activity costs above 19000€) . For TC from 3000€ to 6000€ (if activity cost is above 20k).

This fee includes project writing, writing of the project report and support during the event.

Even though NGO people are shy to talk money, we are fully transparent organization and we think that everyone should get paid fairly for their work.

You also get to write project for Sende from our space(s) while staying there free of charge. However, the only requirement is that we are open (June, August, September, until mid-October) in Galicia and in Portugal to be confirmed.

Also, if you like to travel on youth project you will get priority and travel on our projects all over the world (free of charge).

Current position

October 2022 - April 2023: Project writer (English & castellano and/or Portuguese)

About Sende

Background

Sende organization is the first rural coworking & coliving space on the planet (opening soon another space in rural Portugal). Discover Sende here.

Space

Sende works as a coworking and coliving space (village homes and "offices" for people who work online).

e.g. one designer, or writer, or programme book to stay in our village for a month. She/he works online while listening to singing birds and enjoying the company of other people who also came to work from the village. We cook together, hike, do talks and learn from each other.

Events

It's a space which hosts and co-organize events which are hard to imagine in a rural setting.

e.g. Bosquexo, festival of illustrators or Bitsommar, video gaming event, or Project Crafters Meetup which gathers people to write projects for their orgs from the village...
